A spectacular 12-day journey through Uganda's finest national parks tracking endangered mountain gorillas and golden monkeys experiencing thrilling game drives on the savannah and cruising the iconic Nile on the ultimate East African wildlife adventure. We planned a 12-day tour which covered most of the south-western part of Uganda. For Uganda, we decided to use a tour company, who provided a car and driver for our 12-day itinerary. We decided to not self-drive in Uganda to give us some time to adjust to what being on the road in Africa might be like. It turned out to be a good decision!

Queen Elizabeth National Park in south-west Uganda is a sweeping wildlife sanctuary of open savannah crater lakes and dense forests sheltering an extraordinary variety of mammals birds and primates along the shores of Lake Edward.

Kibale National Park in western Uganda is a world-class rainforest sanctuary harbouring the highest density of primates in Africa including habituated chimpanzees offering visitors an extraordinary and immersive wildlife experience within a breathtaking tropical landscape.

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola District Uganda is the country's only wild home for the southern white rhinoceros where guided bush walks bring visitors face to face with Africa's most magnificent and endangered giants in their natural habitat.
