We often travel to Portland, Oregon for weekends and as we follow a plant-based diet having places to go that are vegan-friendly is very important to us. Luckily, there are plenty of great places to try out as vegans. Here are 6 places we have found on our trips to Portland.
Oregon: Bend – Fix N Repeat: Vegan Cafe (Eatery Review)
There is a new kid on the block serving delicious vegan food in Bend, Oregon. The newcomer to the food scene in Bend is Fix & Repeat a small vegan cafe that has sprung up in a new up and coming strip of restaurants and bars between downtown and the popular Old Mill shopping district.
Their stated mission is Plant-Based Change: FIX & REPEAT Mission. This social business donates percentages of its profits to non-profits with a conservation mission, such as the Ocean Conservancy and Oregon Wild, and also actively partners with other social businesses.
The atmosphere is very informal and the inside is very light and airy with a small outside seating area. Their menu is primarily made up of bowls, juices and smoothies – which from experience are very tasty. My particular favourite is the acai bowl, which almost looks too good to eat.

Located in a South-East Portland suburb, Off The Griddle is a vegetarian-friendly vegan restaurant serving up an ever-widening array of comfort foods. As with many of my favourite food experiences in Portland, Off The Griddle started life as part of the City's vibrant food cart scene.
