Västra Götaland county is one of Sweden’s counties , located in the southwestern part of the country, on the northern and middle part of Sweden’s west coast and whose city of residence is Gothenburg . However, the Västra Götaland region , formerly the County Council, has its headquarters in Vänersborg .
